With over twenty years in risk management, and with over one hundred engagements, domestic and overseas, I am able quickly to understand the dilemmas and opportunities in risk and to help fashion and implement an optimal strategy.

I have been an entrepreneur, consultant, teacher and award-winning journalist. I have spoken at over 50 conferences and written over 100 articles in risk management. I have a BA from Harvard University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Innovation is a theme of much of my work for clients and of my writing. I frequently address innovations in information technology, healthcare, and organizational performance.

Workers compensation is one of my points of focus. Annual costs in the United States well exceed $60 billion, arising out of 3 million injuries, involving employers, insurers, doctors, injured workers and vendors.

Employers wish to reduce the frequency of injuries and help their injured workers return to employment. Insurers and third party administrations seek efficient and effective claims management.
